What they're all about
During Lockdown, Zoe and Tom decided they needed a project. That project was to transform a medium wheel base high roof VW Crafter panel van into a self converted campervan, and Chubby was born. From installing an extractor fan to cutting windows and fitting word panelling, they did the lot and all under the watchful gaze of Woody their budding canine travel companion. As keen snowboarders, their dream was to travel across Europe finding the freshest powder possible whilst living off grid and working remotely. Mission accomplished!

Zoe & Tom's Electrical System
Zoe & Tom wanted an electrical system that would allow them to travel off grid during the winter months. As keen snowboarders, their dream was travel across Europe finding the freshest powder possible whilst working remotely.
Initially, Zoe & Tom found the electrics the scariest part of their campervan build due to the overwhelming volume of technical information. With the help of Roamer, they were able to build a system that fulfilled their electrical needs during Winter.
Zoe & Tom's Electrical Set-up
Zoe and Tom's system was designed and supplied by Roamer back in 2021 and is still going strong! With one of our original 200SMART batteries (1st generation), they are still able to power a 2000W inverter and plug just about any appliance in to run off grid including their induction hob, air fryer and hot chocolate maker!
