Roamer build batteries to the highest possible standards of quality, with a standardised, modular construction method. We only the best components, purchased directly from the manufacturers with quality guaranteed, and traceable by serial number. We then put every battery through a rigorous set of tests to ensure every one works perfectly first time.
Despite all of efforts, there is of course still a possibility that something will go wrong. That’s why we made our batteries serviceable, with hot-swappable parts, so you can repair it yourself on the road, or send it back to us for a quick fix.

Goes Into A Roamer
Over the last 6 years of building lithium leisure batteries, we’ve learned that can be a huge difference in quality between two batteries that look similar and have identical specifications. Roamer only use the very best components, from top tier manufacturers. Parts are traceable, certified and verified to guarantee quality and consistency. When you buy a Roamer, you know what you’re getting.
We buy directly from tier one cell manufacturers and cells are chosen for long life and reliability. We also match cells by resistance and capacity to ensure stability.
Active Balancing helps ensure all cells stay perfectly balanced. This prevents one-off problems but can also add up to 20% to the life expectancy by allowing all cells to degrade evenly
We use flexible copper busbars instead of cables for internal connections. This eliminates crimps and unnecessary connections, ensuring the best connection to the BMS and power terminals.
Every battery is built into a custom steel framework for cell compression, vibration protection and safety. This also allows for consistency in manufacturing, which ultimately leads to better reliability.
FACTORY QUALITY CONTROL
Test, test and test again
Before leaving the factory every battery is tested for pack resistance, capacity, top balance and bottom balance and gets a signed QC certificate.
Batteries are then tested again before despatch, to ensure no issues have developed in transit or storage. We check voltage and cell balance again, and test the Bluetooth and CANbus connections to see if everything is working as it should.
This is an expensive and time-consuming process but is one of the key reasons Roamer batteries are so reliable - they work straight out of the box, and they keep going.
Modular. Serviceable. Upgradeable
Roamer batteries are built into a serviceable screw case allowing for easy repairs and upgrades when necessary. It’s so simple you could even do it yourself on the road.
We’ve also developed a way of building the battery using modular components, with all parts accessible and replaceable as needed. We use double bolted connections instead of glue and welding and its possible to strip a battery down to its individual parts in less than 20 minutes.
With a battery thats expected to last 12-15 years, we prefer to give you control over how its used. We fully intend to be here for the duration but if not, you have the peace of mind that you can manage and repair the battery yourself if needed.
