Why Roamer and Victron?
Our batteries have always worked well with Victron chargers and inverters but the new SMART5 plug-and-play Victron communication makes this integration even better. Simply link your SMART4 battery bank to a Victron GX device (eg Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX) and all internal battery data becomes available to the Victron system.
You can then monitor your battery in real time via the Victron VRM app, Touch screen or VRM online portal from anywhere in the world. If you configure DVCC or ESS, you can also control charging based on what the battery needs.
Plug and Play
Linking your Roamer SMART5 battery to a Victron GX device is usually as easy as plugging in a cable but our tech support team is on hand if you get stuck.
All Roamer SMART5 batteries come with one CANbus and two RS485 link ports (for multiple batteries)
Cerbo GX is the most popular but all Victron GX devices with VE.Can or BMS.Can ports are compatible.
Add the Roamer CAN cable at the checkout if you want to link your SMART5 battery to a Victron GX device.
The Roamer SMART5 provides all the data you'd normally get from a Smartshunt and a whole lot more.
Monitor from anywhere in the world
You can monitor and control your system from your campervan, motorhome or boat using the Bluetooth app or GX touch screen. You can also view your battery data real time and historic data online from anywhere, via the VRM portal or VRM app. This includes alarm notifications on your phone or via email.
